The mug
Pressed steel body with vitreous enamel fused onto it at high heat — the same construction as the campfire mug your parents had, because that build hasn't needed improving. White body with a rolled rim in black, navy, red or green.
Two things to know before you commit, because they decide whether this is the right mug for your recipient:
The rim conducts heat. Fill it with boiling tea and the lip is hot for the first few minutes. That's inherent to the material, not a defect. For an outdoor or camp audience it's expected; for an office desk mug, ceramic is the kinder gift.
Enamel chips, it doesn't crack. Drop it and you get a chip that exposes bare steel, which then spots with rust. In exchange you get a mug that survives being packed in a bag, thrown in a vehicle and used over a fire — which ceramic doesn't. It's a trade, and it's the right trade for anything leaving the office.
Printing on it
Full wrap-around print, edge to edge except a small gap at the handle. Photographic detail, gradients and full colour all reproduce well — this isn't a spot-colour-only product, so busy artwork is fine.
Print sits on the enamel surface and holds up to normal use and hand washing. It is not a fired-in ceramic glaze, so it will wear if you put it through a dishwasher cycle after cycle. Tell your recipients to hand wash and the print outlasts the mug.
Because it's a digital process there's no screen setup, which means 50 pieces costs proportionally close to 500 — no steep minimum penalty, and individual names or different designs across one batch cost nothing extra.
Artwork
Send 300 DPI at final print size — PNG, PDF, AI or a high-res JPEG. For a full wrap, supply the artwork as a flat rectangle and mark which edge sits at the handle.
Watch your background colour. A design with a coloured background looks striking wrapped around a white mug, but any misalignment at the handle gap becomes visible. Designs that keep white space near the handle are more forgiving. You get a digital mockup showing the wrap before we produce anything.

Frequently asked questions
Can each mug have a different name or design?
Yes, at no extra cost. Personalised staff mugs and named gift sets run on the same batch as a uniform order. Send the list as Excel or CSV.
Are enamel mugs dishwasher safe?
Hand wash. The mug itself will survive a dishwasher, but repeated hot cycles wear the print. Cold hand wash and the branding lasts as long as the mug does.
Can I use them in a microwave?
No — steel body. They're fine on a gas flame or over a fire, which is the actual point of an enamel mug.
Will the mug rust?
Not in normal use. If the enamel chips, bare steel is exposed and that spot can rust. Dry the mug after washing and keep it out of a bag with hard objects rattling against it.
What capacity are they?
500ml standard. Confirm the exact size with us when you order, since stock varies by batch.
